(Week 2) Second game of the season the 49ers draw another division rival, the New Orleans Saints (dloc1000). This week it was wr Brandon Lloyd capturing the player of the game honors. Lloyd pulled down 5 catches for 176 yards 1 td and a long of 78. The game was really won on the ground. Once again with both running back contributing. Garrison Hearst went 16/58 with 2 tds. While Kevan Barlow went 16/56. Kicker Jeff Chandler also hit 3/5 fgs'. Special teams were also huge! Terrell Owens had 4 punt returns for 120 yards with a long of 40. On the defensive side it was Andre Carter who had 6 tackles and 3 sacks. Along with Julian Peterson who had 4 Tackles 2 sacks and a forced fumble. The 49ers aquired cb Fred Thomas for the Saints after week 1. What a game, he picked off a pass on the second play from scrimmage and almost scored! He ended up with 5 tackles, 1 int, and 3 knock downs. Like i said last week we are looking to trade alot, which we did. One had to go back but this wont stop us. Here come the 9ers! I said, "Here come the 9ers"!!!

(Week1) The San Fransisco 49ers start off the season with a victory over division rivals the Atlanta Falcons (ervin). Scrub wr (58 overall) Aaron lockett was player of the game. He pulled down 5 catches for 145 yards, one td, no drops, and a long of 56 yards. The 2 hbs also did their share. Hearst with 17 carries for 43 yards and a td along with 4 catches for 44 yards and Barlow with 11 carries for 41 yards. While Jeff Garcia finished with a 96.4 rating on 14/27 for 272 yards, 2 tds, and 1 int. Coach sweetrun is happy with the teams performance and the talent he seen in game one. After the game he drafted fa cb Gregg who he help will bring some support for his other cbs. 49ers will be looking to make alot of trades so please attempt to contact coach sweetrun2002 at any time. |
